Bill Staake, MBA, CLU, ChFC, Marketing Director
Bill is a marketing and financial planning specialist, serving affluent clients, business owners and their families. He joined Wealth Advisory Group in July of 2002 bringing over 40 years of financial planning and marketing experience to the firm.
Bill’s career in financial services began in 1971 where he spent thirteen years with the Acacia Group in Washington, D.C. where he held a number of positions including general manager, assistant marketing vice president, and sales and marketing systems design consultant. In 1983-4 he was responsible for the design of a new delivery system for a one-stop financial services center. A platform enabling the integration of the sales, marketing, and service systems for Insurance, Banking and Securities firms and their products.
In 1984, Bill was recruited into the corporate world and as the Vice President of Marketing was instrumental in the building of two of the most successful financial services software firms in the country… Financial Profiles (1984-1990) and Kettley Publishing Company (1990-2000), now known as Advisys.
While at Kettley, Bill built strong consulting relationships with industry giants Northwestern Mutual, MetLife, American Express, NY Life, AXA, Allstate, State Farm, John Hancock, Prudential and many others, to help position their agent’s technology platforms to deliver integrated planning solutions to their clients.
Bill earned a BA in commerce and finance in 1971 from Wilkes University. He earned a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation and a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation from the American College in 1982 and 1983 respectively. He also holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, which he earned in 1997.
After almost two decades in the corporate environment, Bill turned his focus back to his financial planning roots. He is dedicated to marketing state of the art comprehensive planning solutions to high net worth individuals, families and business owners. He has also worked closely with the Board of Directors of several Charitable Organizations over the years, and is currently working closely with the Board of Wells of Life, helping to bring clean water to third world countries.
Bill has been married 44 years, has four children and eight grandchildren to keep he and his wife very busy while enabling him to share his depth of both education and experience with the firm and his clients.
